Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly determined to secure the signing of Paulo Dybala from Juventus as they seek to replace Christian Eriksen in their ranks at the turn of the year.
Spurs were heavily linked with the Argentina international during the Premier League transfer window but a deal failed to materialised with concerns over the player's wages and image rights.
According to The Express, the north London giants are planning a fresh attempt to sign Dybala in the New Year and they are confident that they can push through an agreement this time around.
The same report adds that Dybala's arrival could pave the way for the departure of Christian Eriksen, who has declined to sign a new contract beyond the ongoing campaign.
Eriksen was determined to make the switch to the Spanish La Liga before the European transfer deadline but unfortunately, no clubs were willing to match Spurs' £60m price tag for his services.
The Capital outfit are bound to reduce on that valuation in January and that should invite interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid during the winter transfer window.
