Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic will reportedly pursue a Bosman move away from Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
The 31-year-old has fallen behind Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba in the pecking order for the midfield role this season and he has been afforded with just 22 minutes of playing time.
According to Calciomercato, the Serbian is unlikely to pursue through a mid-season departure from the club and he is prepared to wait until next summer to secure a free transfer.
The Red Devils have the option of triggering a one-year extension clause on the Serbian's contract but the club seem prepared to ignore the option as per the wishes of the midfielder.
Inter Milan and AC Milan are both keeping tabs on the proceedings of the former Chelsea man and discussions over a pre-contract could begin as early as the turn of the year.
Manchester United are expected to be without Pogba following his ankle problem sustained at Southampton and this could hand Matic with his first start of the season.
