Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Sadio Mane over a new and improved contract following his impressive start to the current campaign.
The Senegal international has more than three years remaining on his current deal with the Reds but the club seem determined to reward him with a bumper contract for his recent efforts.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Reds have started negotiations over a fresh five-year deal for the attacker which will include a significant rise on his current wages.
The former Southampton man currently commands a weekly wage package of around £90,000-a-week and it is reported that the Reds are prepared to bump up the figure to £220,000-a-week to make him their highest earner.
Mane had a fabulous 2018/19 campaign where he contributed 26 goals from 50 appearances while helping the Reds win the Champions League. He has started the current campaign with a bang with six goals from just seven outings.
