Premiership hopefuls Stoke City have completed the loan signing of Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi on loan, with a view to a permanent deal. Stoke are adding quality players to their side to help their promotion push.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis said, "We need to show everyone that we are giving promotion our best shot."

Ameobi had an excellent record for the Magpies, bagging 46 goals in over 100 games.
