Real Madrid have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the performances of midfielder Mason Mount, who has made his breakthrough with Chelsea this season.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The 20-year-old spent the past two seasons on loan with Vitesse Arnhem and Derby County and he was able to achieve double figures in terms of scoring in both of those campaigns.

He has started the current season in fine form with three goals already for the Blues and it appears that his progress has caught the attention of Zinedine Zidane's side.

According to Marca, the 13-time European champions have been impressed with the development of the Blues graduate and they have already sent talent-spotters to monitor his progress in recent games.

It is added that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is a huge admirer of the England international, who has been with the west London giants since the tender age of six.

Mount, who has been ever-present for the Blues this term, currently has more than four years remaining on his existing deal. His contract was renewed during the summer.
