Stekelenburg stays at Ajax

28 March 2008 - 01:28

Maarten Stekelenburg has decided to stay at Ajax despite interest from several clubs in his services. Tottenham had been linked with the keeper - but the Ajax shot stopper has decided he will stay put for another year.

  • John Terry wants Chelsea to re-sign Thiago Silva in January
  • Man Utd & Chelsea want to land Marc Guehi?

  • According to Dutch paper Algemeen Dagblad, Stek will be remaining at Ajax for the time being.

The keeper is rated at around £6 million and Tottenham are on the look out for a long-term replacement for Paul Robinson.

25-year-old Stekelenburg, who has made ten appearances for the Netherlands seems reluctant to quit the Amsterdam ArenA.
