Tammy Abraham is reportedly close to penning a new long-term deal with Chelsea after his impressive start to the campaign under Frank Lampard.
The Englishman has become an indispensable figure under the guidance of Lampard and he has already amassed nine goals across all competitions.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Blues are close to extending the contract of Abraham and he is expected to be handed with a deal worth £100,000-a-week.
Abraham made a slow start to the current campaign and he had received criticism from some Blues fans after his poor performance in the Super Cup.
However, Lampard continued to keep faith in his abilities and that has proved dividends with nine goals from the past nine appearances across all competitions.
Abraham is expected to lead the line on Wednesday night when the Blues face Ajax on the road in their third game of the Champions League group stage.
The west London side have registered three points from the opening two matches in their group and they are presently behind second-placed Valencia on the head-to-head record.
