Manchester United set to receive January transfer blow?

Chilwell, Maddison won't join United in January

Manchester United set to receive January transfer blow?

25 October 2019 - 14:55

Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to pursue either James Maddison or Ben Chilwell from Leicester City when the transfer window reopens.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The English duo have been among the standout performers for the east Midlands outfit over the past 14 months and they have been touted to secure big-money moves in the near future.

United have been linked with both players on a regular basis over the past month but The Manchester Evening News claims that they are unlikely to succeed with signing either player in the New Year.

The Foxes have generally been reluctant to part ways with their key players at the turn of the year and reports indicate that they are prepared to wait until the end of the season before considering potential exits.

Despite this, the Red Devils are likely to enter the market during the winter transfer window and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seemingly keen on signing Mario Mandzukic from the ranks of Juventus.
