Ferguson: Queiroz is staying

29 March 2008 - 12:03

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that his assistant manager Carlos Queiroz will not be leaving the club - despite reports that Benfica wish to make Queiroz their new boss.

  • Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Everton game
  • Enzo Fernandez refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
  • He said: "I am quite certain Carlos will not be going to Benfica.

"The Real Madrid experience was something else. It was a job he had to take.

"But he learned how difficult it is. He wasn't allowed to buy and instead told to sell players."

Queiroz failed during his time at Real Madrid and is believed to be happy being Ferguson's assistant.
