Former West Ham United striker Dean Ashton advises Declan Rice not to join Manchester United. According to him, the young midfielder must at least wait for one or two seasons.
Recently, the young Englishman has been linked with Manchester United. In fact, a number of sources have reported the Red Devils are ready to spend 100 million pounds to sign Rice.
Ashton says that it is not the time for Rice to move to a bigger club. The former England national team player who retired early thinks that West Ham is the right club for the development of Rice’s career.
“I feel as if he’s still got improvements to make and there is no better place to learn and do that than West Ham.” Ashton said.
Pundits believe Declan Rice is to replace Michael Carrick at Manchester United. Both players share similarities in their styles of play. It is also worth mentioning that Rice and Carrick had both graduated from the West Ham academy.
