Zigic linked with Portsmouth

Zigic linked with Portsmouth

30 March 2008 - 12:07

Valencia striker Nikola Zigic may have played his last game for the Che as his boss Ronald Koeman admitted that he was unlikely to be at the club next season. The news has put Portsmouth on red alert as they look to sign another striker to partner Jermain Defoe next season.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Koeman said: "At this point I prefer other players. It is not the time to talk about next season because it is at a moment when we have important games in the Liga and the Copa final.

"Once that's out of the way, we will consider the situations of all players."

Zigic joined Valencia for around £7 million, but it is believed the club may allow him to leave for closer to £4 million as Koeman prepares to wield his transfer axe.
