Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has heaped praise on midfielder Scott McTominay, who produced a dominant performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last night.
The Scotland international made his comeback from an ankle injury to face Spurs and he produced a solid display in the centre of the park where he controlled the proceedings alongside Fred.
Speaking after the 2-1 win over Spurs, Solskjaer said that McTominay is almost undroppable at the moment and lauded the midfielder's physical presence and leadership qualities.
"You can almost say he (McTominay) is undroppable at the moment. I wasn’t gonna try to push him through for this game. The physical presence he gives us, the leadership he gives us in midfield also releases Fred," he told via Goal.com.
McTominay has featured in all but two Premier League games for the Red Devils this season and he has been regarded by many as the standout performer in the club's midfield.
United have lacked the presence of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic through injuries in recent months but the midfield duo are likely to return to action in the next couple of weeks.
