Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Luka Jovic as part of a player-plus-cash deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal in the New Year.
Aubameyang has been the leading performer for the Gunners in the attack with 12 goals across all competitions but he has recently reported to have pulled out of contract negotiations with the club.
The Gabon international is deemed to be eyeing a fresh challenge with a team playing their trade in the Champions League and Mundo Deportivo reports that Los Blancos could make a winter swoop for the striker, whose contract expires in 19 months' time.
It is added that they are unlikely to meet the £70m plus price tag for Aubameyang but instead, they could offer Jovic as a makeweight to reduce the overall package for the transfer.
Jovic has had a dismal spell in the Spanish La Liga and he has managed just starts under manager Zinedine Zidane. As such, he does not appear a worthwhile signing for the Gunners and it will come as a surprise, if the club even consider Aubameyang's sale at the midway stage of the season.
