The Italian playmaker and striker has scored 14 goals for the Romans this season. Roma will certainly miss the services of this experienced veteran.



He picked up the injury while playing against Cagliari Calcio. He was seen clutching his hamstring the entire game and later complained to have problem in his left thigh. After initial examinations club doctors have prescribed a few days of rest.



The Roman is more likely to be replaced by Mirko Vucinic. Vucinic will be pleased to earn the first team spot though he has been a 'super-sub' scoring th e late winner to thwart Real Madrid.
