Championship side Swansea City have reportedly emerged as the leading candidates to sign Rhian Brewster on loan from Liverpool next month.
The Reds graduate has struggled for gametime at the senior level and he has been limited to appearances in the Carabao Cup to date.
Ahead of the January transfer window, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa have been linked with temporary deals for the teenager but it appears that Swansea could have the head start over the Premier League duo.
According to The Telegraph, the Swans are prepared to guarantee the forward with more minutes compared to their rivals and the presence of Steve Cooper is said to be an advantage.
Cooper managed Brewster when the England Under 17s won the 2017 World Cup in India and the youngster is understood to have a close relationship with the 40-year-old.
Brewster is expected to play in a young Liverpool lineup in midweek where they have an EFL Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa away from home.
The entire senior squad has travelled for the Club World Cup in Qatar. They are set to face Monterrey within 24 hours of the League Cup tie.
