A large section of the Manchester United board believe that Paul Pogba may have played his final game for the club ahead of his departure during the January transfer window.
The Frenchman has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has maintained the stance that the midfielder won't be leaving the side.
However, according to The Mirror, a number of figures behind the scenes have acknowledged that the midfielder will leave the club when the transfer window reopens next month.
The 26-year-old has been out of action since aggravating an ankle problem against Arsenal in September. He is currently unavailable due to an illness picked up over the past week.
The World Cup winner has less than two years remaining on his existing deal but the Red Devils have the option of extending his deal for another 12 months which they are likely to do at the turn of the year.
