Anelka warns Chelsea

02 April 2008 - 00:02

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has warned his side that they face a battle with emotions and senses as they take on Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • “It’s going to be crazy inside the stadium. We will have to be careful because they play good football, as well, and they have many good players,” he said.

“To be here, at this stage, they have to be good. I’m not surprised they got this far because when I was there two years ago, we were already strong and unlucky not to get through the group."

Anelka's teammate, Michael Essien added: “Their fans are very noisy so we will just have to close our ears, focus on our own game and do all we can to keep a clean sheet."
