Moussa Dembele speaks on his future amid Premier League interest

Dembele won't leave Lyon this month

Moussa Dembele speaks on his future amid Premier League interest

Manchester United and Chelsea have received a possible blow with Moussa Dembele indicating that he has no plans of parting ways with Lyon during the current transfer window.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The Frenchman has netted 15 times in 29 appearances for Les Gones this term and he has been their main man upfront since the season-ending injury for Dutch star Memphis Depay.

Despite this, there has recently been speculation that one of Chelsea or United could prise him away in a £43m deal but Dembele has dismissed the thought by citing that he has no plans of sealing a mid-season move elsewhere.

"I am a Lyon player and I will remain so until the end of the season. I do not think that there will be a departure this winter. Lots of things are being said. It is up to me to ignore that and remain concentrated on the pitch," he told Le 10 Sport.

United are on the search for a new striker after the double stress fracture for Marcus Rashford. Chelsea are likewise said to want competition for Tammy Abraham, whose fitness remains doubtful after the ankle concern picked up on Tuesday night.
