Manchester City have been reportedly handed a two-year ban from Champions League after being found culpable of breaching the Financial Fair Play regulations, according to BBC.
The report also adds that City have inflated thier sponsorship revenue for which they have now been handed €30m fine in addition to the ban.
Furthermore, City may also face points deduction in the Premier League in the wake of the breach.
Cityzens’ official website has also released a statement which reads that the club have been disappointed with the ban but would appeal to overturn it.
"The club has always anticipated the ultimate need to seek out an independent body and process to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence in support of its position.”
This could have also a major impact on the current rosters including Pep Guardiola as their future remains unresolved.
The absence of Champions League football could prompt many high profile players to seek an exit from the Ethiad.
