Manchester United get to know asking price for Jack Grealish

Manchester United will have to pay a fee in the region of £80m in order to convince Aston Villa to part ways with Jack Grealish during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has contributed nine goals and eight assists for the Villains this campaign but the club are still facing the threat of being relegated with just a solitary point ahead of the drop zone.

According to The Athletic, the west Midlands outfit could sell Grealish for a reduced fee this summer, should they get relegated to the Championship in three months' time.

However, if the Villains preserve their top-flight status, they are expected to demand around £80m from the player's suitors and won't seek to sanction his sale for anything less.

Grealish has apparently told his close friends that he wants to make the switch to Old Trafford in the summer but it remains to be seen whether United are prepared to pay big for his services, suppose the Villains beat the drop.
