Manchester United have reportedly contacted Juventus regarding a shock swoop for midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who was previously in the ranks of Arsenal.
The Wales international joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer prior to the current campaign but he has since struggled with regular fitness concerns.
As a result, he has made just seven starts in the Serie A and there are suggestions that the club could sanction his sale after the solitary season.
According to Tuttosport, United have enquired over the possibility of landing Ramsey, who has failed to nail down a starting spot with the Bianconeri.
The same publication adds that the Turin giants are open to sanctioning the sale of Ramsey and they would prefer to include the Welshman in a proposed deal to re-sign Paul Pogba from the Red Devils.
Ramsey came on the cusp of signing for United from Cardiff City in the summer of 2008 before he made the surprise U-turn to join Arsenal. He made 368 appearances for the Gunners in 11 seasons, winning three FA Cups in the process.
