Barcelona make transfer decision on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Barcelona have reportedly ended their transfer interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and will concentrate on signing Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan this summer.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The 30-year-old will enter the final year of his contract in the summer and there have been claims that the Blaugrana could lure him from the Emirates for a £60m fee.

However, a report from The Express claims that the Catalan giants have ended their pursuit of the former Borussia Dortmund and will focus on landing the services of Martinez.

The Argentine is deemed to have already agreed to personal terms with the Spanish champions but the club are yet to find the breakthrough over the transfer package with Inter.

The Nerazzurri are currently holding out for the player's £97m release clause but the Blaugrana are hopeful of reducing the price to around £75m to save funds for other purchases.

Aubameyang has contributed 61 goals from 97 appearances for the Gunners. He has recently hinted that he could sign a contract extension by stating that he is 'really happy' at the north London side.
