RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is excited by the prospect of a Premier League move amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.

  • The German has been heavily linked with a move to England this summer and Jurgen Klopp's side are said to be leading the race to sign him.

According to Bleacher Report, the 24-year-old has been taking English lessons in his freetime and he is very enthusiastic about playing in the Premier League.

Chelsea and Liverpool have yet to make any formal approach for the marksman and that was recently confirmed by Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff.

Leipzig are not actively looking to sell their leading striker but it is claimed that overseas clubs can trigger a release clause worth £51m in Werner's contract.

The former Stuttgart graduate has netted 27 goals and registered 12 assists from 36 games this season. Aside from the Premier League duo, Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest in his services.

The Nerazzurri are bracing for the departure of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, who has been earmarked as the prime summer target for Barcelona.
