Chelsea have received a boost in signing Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid with the Spaniard admitting that he could consider a move to the Premier League.
The Spain international has spent his entire career with the Madrid giants but his future has come under question with his contract expiring at the end of next season.
Speaking to The Guardian, the 28-year-old said that he would ideally prefer to retire with Los Blancos but refused to rule out a move to the Premier League, he told:
"The dream is to retire at Madrid but in football, you don't know. When I was little, I always watched the Premier League with my brother. It was, it is, very attractive: a nice football to play, one that could fit my characteristics and personality well."
The Blues are currently said to be monitoring the Spaniard's situation. The club are expected to lose the services of Pedro and Willian when their contracts expire during the summer and Vazquez has been identified as a replacement for one of the duo.
Aside from Vazquez, the club are also looking into a Bosman move for Dries Mertens. Frank Lampard's side failed with an attempt to sign him at the beginning of the year and they are said to have recently made contact over a free transfer.
