Chelsea and Manchester United are prepared to make fresh moves to sign Thomas Meunier, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires during the summer.
The Belgium international has yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the French champions and he is likely to leave as a free-agent in the coming months.
Tottenham Hotspur have been mentioned as the favourites to sign him over the past month but L'Equipe claims that both Chelsea and United are weighing up contract offers for the experienced right-back.
Reece James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have impressed for the Blues and Red Devils respectively from the right side of the defence but Meunier is still being considered as a valuable back-up option.
It remains to be seen whether Meunier would be tempted to join one of the duo ahead of Spurs, where he could have the assurance of a starting spot ahead of Serge Aurier next season.
Meunier has made 27 appearances for Les Parisiens this term.
