The representative of Lucas Torreira has said that the Arsenal midfielder would prefer a return to the Serie A when the transfer window reopens.
The 24-year-old has endured a mixed second season with the Gunners and he has managed only 15 starts in the Premier League.
Earlier last summer, Torreira's agent Pablo Bentancur confirmed that AC Milan failed with an enquiry for the midfielder and he has now revealed that his client remains interested in a return to Italy.
"Lucas had been in a bit of a bad mood over some technical differences. I will have to speak to Arsenal. The player would love to return to Italy, but it must be acknowledged that Arsenal treated him very well," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
Torreira built his reputation at Sampdoria and he thereafter caught the eye of elite European clubs after a strong midfield display in the 2018 World Cup finals.
He was expected to become a pivotal player for the Gunners after joining them last season but he has struggled for consistency with injuries hampering him his progress.
Torreira fractured his ankle during the FA Cup fifth round tie against Portsmouth in March but he is expected to return to action when the season recommences after the coronavirus shutdown.
