Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the situation of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho and could challenge Manchester United for the player's signature.
The Reds are unlikely to make any high-profile signings this summer amid the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic but they are looking at possible future additions to the squad.
According to Evening Standard, the Reds are tracking the position of Sancho at Dortmund and could make an attempt to land the forward in 12 months' time.
The former Manchester City graduate has been touted to return to England this summer but a deal appears unlikely to happen with Dortmund demanding in excess of £100m for his services.
It has been previously claimed that United could look to sign the 20-year-old in a part-exchange deal to lower the transfer fee but Dortmund are reluctant to accept such a proposal.
Sancho has been in superb form for Dortmund this term and he has bagged 17 goals and 17 assists in the Bundesliga. He will be in action against Hertha Berlin tomorrow.
