Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club are in talks with Real Madrid over the future of midfielder Daniel Ceballos.
Ceballos' loan stint was recently extended until the end of the season, but Arteta is said to be keen on keeping the Spaniard beyond that period.
The north London side are reportedly interested in another loan deal for the midfielder and Arteta has confirmed that talks are underway with Los Blancos to prolong Ceballos' stay.
"Both clubs have been in communication. I really like Dani and what he brings to the team. The running that he's putting in, the tackles," He told.
"Every time with the interceptions, his desire to win that ball back and help the team, he's improved so much and he looks a really good player at the moment."
Ceballos has been inconsistent with his displays over the course of the campaign and he has bagged only two goals and two assists from 29 outings.
The Gunners are likely to purchase a new midfielder this summer and they have been touted to recruit Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
Still, they could keep hold of Ceballos, considering Matteo Guendouzi has been fancied to leave the club after falling out-of-favour under Arteta.
