Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz is keen on securing his transfer to Chelsea by the end of the next week.
The German has been in fine form for Leverkusen this term and he has netted 17 goals and registered nine assists across all competitions.
His form has caught the eye of several European clubs, but the Blues are clearly leading the race to land his signature this summer.
The west London giants have already agreed personal terms over a five-year deal and Havertz is now keen on joining the club as soon as possible.
According to Sky Sports News, talks are ongoing between the sides and the Blues are aiming to negotiate a lesser fee for the Germany international.
Leverkusen want £90m for Havertz's sale, but the Blues are optimistic of landing him for £70m in addition to performance-based bonuses.
Should Havertz make his move, he won't feature in Leverkusen's Europa League campaign next month due to the risk of an injury.
