Bayern Munich have increased the asking price for Thiago Alcantara, who is currently on the radar of Liverpool and Manchester United.
The Spaniard has declined to sign a fresh contract with the German champions and he has been fancied to leave the club with his current deal expiring in 11 months' time.
It was recently suggested that Bayern could sanction his sale for around £27m, but Sky Germany claims that they have upped the player's price tag to £36m amid the widespread interest.
Thiago is said to be keen on making the move to Jurgen Klopp's side, but the Reds are highly unlikely to meet the current price tag as they deal with the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
They were reportedly willing to negotiate a package of around £18.5m for the former Barcelona man, but Bayern are now said to demand double the figure for the midfielder, who is in the prime of his career.
