Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future at Arsenal could hinge on the outcome of the weekend's FA Cup final against Chelsea.
The Gabon international has entered the final year of his Gunners deal, but the club have yet to reward him with a new long-term contract.
The north London side have the option of a 12-month extension, but they are reluctant to trigger the clause, considering that would increase his salary by £100,000-a-week.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners prefer to hand Aubameyang a fresh deal with a decent hike on his £180,000-a-week wages, but that may be dependent on the outcome of the FA Cup final.
The club will earn a berth into next season's Europa League group stage with an FA Cup victory and on top of that, they could financially benefit with as much as £30m gained from taking part in the competition.
In such a case, they would be in a good position to commit Aubameyang to a new contract. Barcelona and Inter Milan are said to be monitoring his situation.
