Chelsea agree personal terms with Kai Havertz?

09 August 2020 - 21:34

Chelsea have reportedly finalised personal terms with Kai Havertz over a five-year contract and they are currently in the process of negotiating the transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Germany international has enjoyed a fine season with the Bundesliga outfit, contributing 17 goals and nine assists across all competitions and his progress has caught the eye of numerous clubs.

However, the Blues are widely regarded as the front-runners to sign him and RMC Sport claims that he has reached an agreement with the west London side over the salary package.

Still, they need to reach a suitable agreement over the transfer sum for the attacker. Leverkusen have set a non-negotiable £90m price tag. The Blues remain optimistic that they can finalise his transfer by paying a lesser fee upfront.

Havertz played through the entire 90 minutes of Leverkusen's 1-0 win over Rangers in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16. He is expected to feature against Inter Milan in the final eight of the competition.
