Brazilian defender Thiago Silva has reportedly undergone his Chelsea medical in Milan, a report from Sky Sports has revealed.
The centre-back ended his eight-year association with Paris Saint-Germain earlier today and he is now expected to join the Blues on a free transfer.
According to Sky Sports, the 35-year-old has had a successful medical test in Milan and he will now make the move to the English capital to sign a contract.
Silva is expected to put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with the option for another 12 months, which can be triggered by either him or the club.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he will have to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine and that could delay his debut with the Blues next month.
Chelsea have already signed four players for the first team squad in Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and most recently Malang Sarr.
Sarr, 21, is expected to move out on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.
