Crouch to take Liverpool chance

Crouch to take Liverpool chance

13 April 2008 - 09:28

Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is determined to do the best with the chance given to him by boss Rafa Benitez. Crouch has found himself back in the Liveprool side after impressing at the Emirates in the Premiership against Arsenal last weekend.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • "It's great to be involved again because every player wants to start games, particularly when you're at a club as great as this one," he told liverpoolfc.tv.

"It has been difficult for me, I'm not going to lie about that. I want to play in games and when that doesn't happen you can start to wonder if it ever will.

"But I was given my chance against Arsenal last week and then I was kept in the team for the European game and I'd like to think I've showed what I can do.

"But now I have to look to keep my place in the side, which I know will be difficult, because it's no point me waiting for my chance and then not taking it."
