RB Leipzig may be one of Germany's least popular football teams, but if it comes down to organisation and forward-thinking, the East German club are one of the best in the world at securing top, young talent.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Dominik Szoboszlai is a 19-year-old Hungarian international who arrived at RB Salzburg in 2018, having had a spell with Liefering prior to playing in his homeland with Videoton, Fonix and MTK Budapest. The talented central midfielder has caught the eye in recent months for a number of powerful, attacking displays at the heart of the Salzburg midfield. Last season with RB, the Hungary international scored 9 goals in 27 Bundesliga games and was promptly lauded as one of the best young players in Europe after an impressive campaign. Prior to that season in 2018-19, the midfielder bagged 3 goals in 16 games, in the first year that the player truly burst on to the scene.

The player has already made 10 appearances for the national team, with two goals as well, one coming against Turkey and another against Slovakia in Euro 2020 qualification.

One of the player's best physical characteristics is his speed and fitness, with the 185 cm tall player able to quickly burst forward from the defensive third in to attack.

Not just the 9 goals he scored last season in the Bundesliga, but he added a further three more in cup competition to add to his collection of 18 total assists for the whole campaign - a stunning return for the wonderkid who has already been in contact with Arsenal and Man Utd representatives regarding a possible transfer move.

It is understood that RB Leipzig are looking for around 40 million euros to part with a player who is now arguably their best player after the departure of Timo Werner.
