Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that Kepa Arrizabalaga has to be strong enough after another average performance in goal.
The Spaniard started the Premier League clash against Southampton after first-choice keeper Edouard Mendy was sidelined with a thigh problem.
Kepa made a couple of quality saves in the 3-3 draw, but he made a poor attempt to deny the Saints from making it 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.
In injury time, Jan Vestergaard scored a late equaliser for the Saints, but Kepa could have done better with the shot visible from long-range.
Speaking after the game, Lampard refused to blame Kepa for the defeat and said that there were other individual mistakes leading to goals.
However, he added that the Spaniard has to be strong enough and could have done better in restricting the Saints from scoring.
"He has to be strong enough That’s part of the job in playing top level elite sport. The goalkeeper and their role means they really have to do that," He told.
