Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides update on Manchester United duo

07 November 2020 - 12:21

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on Alex Telles and Victor Lindelof ahead of the Premier League clash against Everton this afternoon.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Telles has been sidelined for the past few games after testing positive for COVID-19, but he has recovered from the virus ahead of the Merseyside clash.

Meanwhile, Lindelof was only an unused substitute in the midweek Champions League defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir on the road.

The Swede was struggling with a back problem and it is unclear whether he will be fit to face the Toffees in the Premier League.

Speaking in the pre-match press briefing, Solskjaer revealed that Telles has just returned to training after testing negative for the coronavirus.

He added that Lindelof is still having trouble with his back and may be monitored ahead of the upcoming clash against the Toffees.

"Alex has started training with us, which is good. Victor has still got the issue that he's been struggling with. He'll have to be checked tonight [Friday] in the hotel. It's the same squad as before Istanbul really," He told.

United will be aiming to end a two-match winless streak in the Premier League at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Solskjaer will be under pressure to deliver a win, particularly with rumours that Mauricio Pochettino could replace him.

The Red Devils have made a poor start to the season and are currently 15th on the table with only seven points.
