Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy are keen on pursuing Arsenal star Mesut Ozil before the beginning of next season.
The German has been left out of the Gunners' Premier League and Europa League squad of late and he is clearly out-of-favour under Mikel Arteta.
According to Fichajes, Galaxy are eager to land the services of Ozil and they want him to follow in the footsteps of former stars David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
They are unlikely to pay any transfer fee to sign him and any deal may depend on whether the Gunners can mutually reach an agreement to terminate the German's contract.
Ozil's current deal expires at the end of the campaign and he has repeatedly said in the past that he has no plans of heading through the exit door before the contract expires.
The German was the subject of interest from an unnamed Saudi Arabian side during the summer, but he snubbed their advances to stay put with the Gunners.
