Patson Daka on Hammers wish list

West Ham eye move for Patson Daka

10 January 2021 - 07:36

West Ham are chasing the signing of Zambian international Patson Daka as a long-term replacement for Sebastien Haller. It is understood that the Red Bull Salzburg striker could be available for a fee of £23.5 million and is ready to leave Germany in favour of a move to the Premier League.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • So far this campaign, Daka has returned an impressive 10 goals in 14 games, with the 22-year-old catching the eye of numerous European top sides. However, it is understood that West Ham manager David Moyes and his transfer committee are in pole position to secure the player's signature.

Daka, who emerged at Liefering in 2017, moved to RB Salzburg shortly after that and went on to bag a total of 34 goals in 61 games.

The striker has a contract with the Austrian club until 2024, with a minimum fee release clause contained within the player's agreement at the club.

West Ham are desperate to complete a transfer for a new striker as soon as possible, with only Michail Antonio in their squad available with sufficient first-team playing experience.
