Manchester City could make an attempt to sign former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window.
The Belgian left the Red Devils for Inter after two seasons where he contributed 42 goals from 96 appearances.
He has since excelled with 51 goals from just 73 outings and has now been linked with a potential move to the Cityzens.
Pep Guardiola's side are looking to reinforce the striking department in the summer with the future of Sergio Aguero uncertain.
Aguero's contract expires at the end of the campaign and so far, there are no talks regarding a possible extension beyond that period.
Even if Aguero stays, the club are still planning for the long-term and The Telegraph claims that they could spend part of the budget on Lukaku.
Guardiola is set to be handed a £200m warchest with the prime focus on landing a new left-back, defensive midfielder and centre-forward.
Manchester City are currently fifth on the table with 32 points. They are five points behind leaders Manchester United with two games in hand.
