Bruce may net £2m survival bonus

16 April 2008 - 15:16

Steve Bruce will net a £2 million bonus if Wigan Athletic survive in the Premiership. Bruce has managed to admirably keep the Latics in the Premiership and he is set to land the massive financial reward.

  • Chelsea ready to sell Marc Cucurella
  • Chelsea planning move for new striker
  • Bruce was noticeably delighted after seeing his Wigan side pick up the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - and the reason was quite possibly because of his potential windfall.

Apparently, Wigan chairman Dave Whelan will be set to pay out up to £3.5 million in bonuses if Wigan stay in the Premiership; but that doesn't compare to the potential £35 million that Wigan will stand to gain from surviving in the top flight for another year.
