Manchester United make loan decision on Donny van de Beek

United won't loan out Van de Beek

Manchester United make loan decision on Donny van de Beek

22 January 2021 - 20:36

Manchester United have no plans to send Donny van de Beek on loan despite his lack of playing time.

  • Arsenal linked with new shotstopper as backup to Raya
  • Juventus and Roma to battle for 20yo Arsenal star

  • The Dutchman joined the Red Devils from Ajax in the summer with much fanfare, but he has yet to make his mark.

The midfielder has managed only 852 minutes of first-team action and has been an unused substitute for the past six league games.

Hence, there have been suggestions that Van de Beek could be loaned out, but The Telegraph claims that is unlikely to happen.

The player has received offers from multiple European sides, but United have no desire to sanction his temporary exit.

United are presently top of the league standings with a two-point lead over Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

They have the best chance of ending their seven-year Premier League title drought and Solskjaer wants sufficient squad depth.

Aside from Van de Beek, they are also set to block the departure of Lingard on a temporary deal despite him being out-of-favour.
