Nolan hurt by demise of Bolton

Bolton midfielder Kevin Nolan is hurt by the demise of his club despite a win over West Ham; leaving the Trotters two points clear of safety in the bottom three of the Premiership.

  • "I am Bolton through and through," said the long-serving midfielder. "It upsets me what is going on and where we are in the table. Sometimes it is nice that I still live in Liverpool, so I can get away from it. I go home and try to relax but it is difficult for me, as my wife will tell you.

"However, there is a lot more belief and more self-confidence among the players following the win against West Ham. The lads are all up for the matches that lie ahead as no-one in our dressing room wants to be in the Championship next season.

"We need to stick together and give 100 per cent. There might be a day where you are not playing well but you must be prepared to run and fight for the team. Of course there is a lot of pressure on us to perform but I am very confident we can get out of trouble."
