Koeman to stay at Valencia

After leading Valencia to the Copa Del Rey, the club's board have denied all rumours that Dutch boss Ronald Koeman could soon be leaving the club. There were rumours of a £5 million compensation pay off to see Koeman out through the exit door.

  • A statement on Valencia's site read: "Valencia CF wishes to clarify, in light of various rumours that have emerged over the last few days, that the coach of the first team is Ronald Koeman, who has a contract for this season and two more, and that in no case have [the club] raised the idea of hiring another coach, let alone have we signed a contract with another coach or negotiated with one."
