Manchester United could offer David de Gea in a potential swap deal to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak this summer.
De Gea has recently fallen out-of-favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Dean Henderson starting regularly in goal.
This has led to suggestions that he could be sold such that the club can reduce his £350,000-a-week salary from their wage bill.
According to 90min, the Red Devils are still interested in signing Oblak, but they are unlikely to trigger the £103m buy-out clause on his contract.
Instead, they could propose a player-plus-cash deal, with De Gea moving in the opposite direction as a makeweight.
United value De Gea at around £50m, and they are hoping to use him to reduce the price tag for Oblak by a significant margin.
Prior to his move to Old Trafford in 2011, De Gea made 84 appearances for Atletico after graduating through their youth ranks.
He is reportedly open to a return to Madrid, but it is unclear whether Atletico will consider re-signing him in exchange for Oblak.
