Manchester United have shelved their plans to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window, The Times reports.

  • The Red Devils have been in fine form of late, where Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood have impressed leading the line.

Cavani, who has netted 15 goals this season, recently signed a new one-year contract, and this appears to have changed the club's focus.

According to The Times, United are no longer interested in signing a striker, and their focus may lie on recruiting a right winger.

Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho was their top target last summer, and they are planning a renewed approach for his services.

United refused to meet the £108m price tag last year, but they could sign him for a reduced £77.4m fee in the upcoming transfer window.

Sancho is reportedly open to testing himself in the Premier League, having previously failed to earn a chance with Manchester City.

The attacker has also been linked with Chelsea, but it is unclear whether they will enter a bidding battle with the Red Devils this summer.
