Liverpool supremo Rick Parry has denied rumours that Ryan Babel and Fernando Torres may have to be sold in order to pay off a bank loan taken out to sign the forward duo.
"The story in Friday's Times newspaper was garbage," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
"I want to make it clear in the simplest and most straightforward terms that the purchases of Fernando and Ryan were funded in the same way as every other transfer.
"The scope for any other interpretation is nil."
