Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of signing Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The Gunners have been in negotiations with Anderlecht in recent weeks, and they appear on the cusp of reaching an agreement.
Their initial offer of £13m plus add-ons was rejected. They have now made an improved offer of around £17.5m plus add-ons.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the final details are being sorted as the Gunners look to secure the signing of the Belgian.
They have already agreed personal terms over a five-year contract, and a medical is likely to be scheduled in the near future.
The Gunners are planning to sign as many as seven players this summer. They are also close to landing Benfica's Nuno Tavares.
The north London outfit have agreed to pay £8m to Benfica, and the Portuguese could be heading to the club in the coming days.
Tavares is a left-back by trade. He is expected to provide much-needed cover for Kieran Tierney, who has had his injury concerns.
