Arsenal are reportedly on the cusp of landing the signature of Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The Gunners have finalised an initial fee of around £17m for the Belgian, and they are currently negotiating add-ons.
According to Walfoot, Lokonga expects to join the north London club, and won't be taking part for Anderlecht in pre-season.
The club have travelled to the Netherlands for a six-day training camp. Lokonga has been excluded from the squad.
The central midfielder has been under quarantine recently, and he is expected to travel to London for a medical soon.
Lokonga won't be the only midfield addition for the Gunners this summer.
The Belgian does not have the assurance of a starting role next season, but he is prepared to take up the challenge.
The Gunners begin their pre-season training from Wednesday. They have yet to make any new signings during the transfer window.
A deal for Benfica's Nuno Tavares has been finalised recently. An announcement could made in the coming days.
