Redknapp angry at defence

Redknapp angry at defence

20 April 2008 - 20:02

Harry Redknapp was angry with his Portsmouth defence after they conceded three sloppy goals to allow Man City a 3-1 victory. A Sol Campbell and David James mishap cost Pompey a goal, whilst the Fratton Park side had Hermann Hreidarsson sent off.

  • Chelsea defender on his way to Leeds United?
  • Chelsea ready to hand Nicolas Jackson fresh chance
  • "It was an unbelievable game considering the way both sides were set up to play," he told Sky Sports 1. "There were chances galore.

"We gave two terrible goals away and gave ourselves a mountain to climb. They played well and had good movement.

"[With the first goal] I think someone has to take responsibility there. One of them has to deal with the situation. It was one of those things."
